Day 4 at Sea

I made it to 0800 Marine Bio and even went to 0930 Global Studies to get it done with.  I took a nap in the afternoon and skipped going to the gym with Becca in favor of resting up.  It's important to get as much sleep in as possible before getting to any port.  You never know when you'll be able to sleep again once you get there.  It's putting sleep on reserve.Nothing too exciting happened.  Dinner was still up on the 6th deck for the boys.  We ate out on the back deck.  The weather was beautiful.  The 7 of us went through so much food and fruit punch. After dinner we had a Sea meeting to go over our cheers for the Slympics and the Opening Ceremonies.  Since we're the Yellow Sea and our mascot is the banana, our cheer was "THIS SEA IS BANANAS, B-A-N-A-N-A-S!"  The Gwen Stefani song.  I'm sure you've heard of it.  If not, youtube it.  I was impressed that almost everyone showed up to the meeting dressed in bright yellow. The Slympics Opening Ceremonies occurred after our meeting.  Everyone started getting wicked excited about it.  They announced each of the ten seas and we cheered as our banners were carried in.  They made some general announcements about the games and then declared them open as the torch was passed.  The torch being a pin wheel. We were pretty amped up.  We hung out for the rest of the night and painted our nails bright yellow to get more in the spirit and then rest up for the next day.  Kareem let us paint his nails, too.
